Bowling ball bags

Bowling ball bagsEven though there are a lot of things to bowling that are much more interesting than bowling ball bags, having the right bag can actually be a great advantage for you when you compete.

While you can still find bowling ball bags like your grandfather used – you know, the ones large enough to fit only one ball and kind of look like a purses – you may want to instead get something a little more up-to-date.

Just as bowling balls themselves have advanced in many ways over the last few years, bowling ball bags have done the same thing. These bags can do more than just hold bowling balls.

One of the first things you need to consider when preparing to purchase bowling ball bags is the price. You can get a bag for your bowling balls for as little as $15. Or you can buy for more than $200.

You need to consider if a $15 bag will do what you need it to do or if your needs warrant you to search for a slightly more expensive bag. So how do you now exactly what you need.

First, you need to ask yourself a few questions. One of these questions is, “How many balls will I need to carry?”

While some bowling ball bags are quite simple in that they only can hold one ball at a time, there are many other bags that have much more room. If you consider yourself a more serious bowler and you have both a strike and a spare bowling ball, you may want to think about getting a bag that carries two bowling balls.

For the real professionals, maybe even a bag that holds two balls is not enough. For these people, there are bowling ball bags that have been designed to hold up to 3 balls. If you don’t know what kind of surface you will be bowling on, it may be a good idea to bring a couple of strike balls – one for oily lanes and one for dry lanes. Then, of course, you will also want to bring your spare ball.

You also will want to consider your own strength when purchasing bowling ball bags. For example, while it probably wouldn’t be too difficult for a man in his 20s to carry in a ball in a single bag, a woman in her 90s may have more of a problem.

Regardless of age or gender, there are bowling ball bags available that have rollers and an extended handle on them. Just like it is easier rolling luggage around the airport, it is just as easy to roll you bowling bag as well. This feature especially comes in handy for the bags that hold 2-3 balls at a time.

Bowling ball bags can be found in a variety of sizes and prices, but if all you need is something to carry your ball in, you may not want to spend more than $15. If you are interested in carrying more than one ball or in using a bag with padding, there are bags that can help you, too.
